Working parties
Working parties (WPs) are held fortnightly from the Autumn to early Spring, generally stopping at the end of March so as not to disturb birds which will be beginning to nest soon after this. In some years, WPs are held in April away from the Commons to tidy up and distribute wood that has been felled during the season.
WPs meet from 9:30 AM to 12:30 every other Sunday with a break at 11 AM for refreshments. It is a good idea to bring thick gloves in case work involves blackthorn or brambles. All are welcome to attend - for whatever length of time you can spare and as often or rarely as fits in with your other commitments.
